Where do I find the info on where and how to set up the App shell service?
I picked up my last Dune from an authorized dealer in Texas I believe. It was around $250 also.

It's Windows stuff. You right click on the start button, then select Computer Management, then expand out Services and Applications on the left, select Services. On the right you'll find the CQC Application Shell (sort by name.) Right click that and select Properties and you can set it up to log in under another account. Do a restart of the service to test it (that's one of the options on the popup menu to stop/start it. If you get the account wrong, it will fail to log in and you can try it again.

Well the Dune showed up quicker than I thought, but it came with a non-configurable EU style power plug. You'd think that the big US of A in the address would have clued them into the fact that they should ship one that I can use here. I'll have to order one I guess. I looked through my big bag and didn't have anything else that would work.

Mine is just a solid molded piece. I ordered one of those universal ones.

Oh, mine was a molded plastic piece that you slid off as I recall.

Well, I've wasted an entire day trying to get that freaking Dune to see the shared drives on my NUC. It can see them, but no matter what I do it claims it doesn't have the rights to access them. I know I have the Windows side set up correctly, with all the right permissions. I can see those shares from my other Windows machines. And the Dune actually finds the shares, it just won't let me access them.

And I've now wasted the rest of the day on the same. I may have to just send this guy back because it's just not going to work I don't think. It can see the shares, but just won't access them.

You are using a NAS, right? If so, it probably is using NFS.
