You would have to use a router and route a channel in the transom and then cover the entire piece of particular transom with a matching veneer. Pretty easy for a carpenter.
You could also cover the magnetic strike in the same veneer.

Yeah... beyond my skill set! Well, maybe I could do it, I've made plenty of nice speakers. But these doors cost a fortune and it isn't going to be me taking responsibility for a slip.

Final verdict, not happening. Security guys said no way. Commercial security company doesn't deal with these type residenti doors. Trim carpenter said he could do it and it would probably look fine but would not give a guarantee on his mutilation of $30k worth of doors.
So I will unfortunately have to rely on wireless deadbolts of some variety. I would prefer for the deadbolt to be dumb, and any keypad control be separate and smart functions be handled through CQC. Trying to avoid a phone app for door locks, another for landscape lights, another for pool lights etc.
Open to any suggestions of the "next best" product to look at. Zwave?

I may be confused, but the second link looks like exactly the type of wired electric strike I can't have installed, and the first looks like jamb side locks as well (seems they are wired products).
Any recommendations on zwave or other wireless deadbolt type products that are as reliable as possible given wireless limitations?
