IOS Homescreen Webriva fails to connect
#1
Playing around here trying to get a handle on webriva. Safari will load my interface, but when I try to make it into a home screen icon it never connects.

Has anyone seen this? Any solutions to try?

Does the same thing for me. When I open with Safari itself, it works. If I open with CTC CQC it works as well. Strange that it does not work using a Home Screen icon (i.e., a Safari shortcut placed onto the home screen).

Ah. Thanks RA.  Very good information. It used to work but I cant remember if that was prior to upgrading to 5.4. It seems I tried it after upgrading and it worked a few times, but I'm not certain.

Had same problem on my iPads and androids. Seems to be similar. seems the URL shortcut gets changed when added to homescreens.
Also may look at what port you use... I had some issues with using port 8181... but don't remember off hand how I fixed.

put android phone in Airplane mode.
go into chrome and bring up the CQC link
After you get the offline error then go into the "3 dots" in upper right hand menu and do "Add to Home Screen"
Turn off Airplane mode and try link you just "Added to Home Screen"

Something with how Chrome saves the CQC link on the homescreen is missing some paramaters.

The method Kfly mentions worked for me on my Android.  I did have to adjust the vpscale to .44 to get it to fit properly on my Samsung S8 Screen.

Kfly,

That worked, but it's not giving me the full screen look I was expecting. In the past creating the home screen icon would bring up the interface in a full screen. No URL bar or other aspects of the browser, just the interface.
