Looks like I will need to upgrade here:
I noticed that RIVA is depreciated in version 5.4. Will I notice problems with my existing IOS interfaces?
Second and more critical, It seems as if I cant upgrade from version 5.3.1. Error message says I must be on 5.3.2.
What steps do I need to take?

Got to 5.3.2 first, of course let it do a backup for you. Make sure everything looks basically ok. Then move forward to the next step. For any version, just change the numbers, so 5.3.2 would be:

As to the RIVA thing, I don't think anyone has been sad to see it go compared to the new WebRIVA client. There's a third party who sells a little wrapper app for it on iOS which makes it even easier to use.
