Moving the CQSL server
#21
So if you go to your user settings, and Options, there's a "Default Thread Subscription Mode:" setting in there. What is that set to? I didn't think it automatically e-mailed you just because you had posted? I thought it was either your thread, or a direct reply to you, or you actively subscribed to the thread? But I never used the e-mail option, so I'm not sure about that.

One thing that I always used, but don't seem to have now is an email whenever someone posted something to a thread I had posted to.  I assume the setting below should allow me to get those.  I will let you know if I start getting them.

I just got a delivery error when it tried to e-mail you. It's due to us not having a reverse DNS zone for our new server so your server rejected it. Let me set that up.

OK, I've added the reverse DNS, so lets see if the notification for this post gets through.

I didn't get it, so not sure why.

I didn't get a rejection back on that one, so I think it went out. Check your spam bucket of course, since you had previous rejected ones from us, your ISP may have whacked us or something or your local spam filter, thinking unseemly things were going on.

Dean, Not sure if you are messing around with the Forum today but Search (at least for me) is taking minutes..... instead of seconds.

Yeh, it looks slow right now to me as well. I'll see what I can figure out. Maybe I need to do some sort of optimization pass. I know that was done before, but importing the database fresh might have undone that. Or maybe it's a known issue, I'll see what I can figure out.

I am getting them now.  Thanks!

It may have taken them a while to check again for the reverse DNS once they had a failure for a given domain or some such.
