Are there any unknown devices in device manager? If so try manually installing the drivers by pointing it at wherever the installer unpacked them. Sorry I don't recall where that is.
I've got a 16 port USB Edgeport running on Win 10 but it was there when I upgraded from Win 7 so at least it's possible.
IÔÇÖm pretty sure I have the latest driver. Problem is, itÔÇÖs an executable that wants to extract directly to the system folder. It fails and leaves nothing behind. IÔÇÖm going to treat it like a scab, and pick at it now and then.
But you having yours give me hope.

Now that I think about it, there might be one driver that Windows says that the hardware failed to identify, but it has the 'best driver' installed.

Might be worth checking with Digi to see if they have an updated installer for W10.
In my case it looks like windoze sees the 416 as two 8 port units. There's two Edgeport 416 controllers in WDM under IonMultiPortSerial then two sets of Edgeport Serial Ports 1-8 under Ports. If you can find out where W10 hide the second controller you could try manually updating the drivers. If the first 8 ports are there the drivers should be in windows/system32 and windows/system32/drivers. I'm not sure but I'd suggest pointing it at the windows/system32 directory and hoping.

Afraid that's all my ideas.

This is somewhat consistent with what I've seen in the past.  Evenings are running together, but it seemed like somewhere I saw a 2x8 config.  I'll keep poking at it.  And yes, I do have one unidentified usb device.... but my problem is that I think I'm running on the default windows drivers (or whatever it wants to use to connect).  The driver I have is an executable that installs directly to system32.  I guess I'll see if I can find some command line switches that might let me extract everything to a folder first.
On to my next problem.... look for me in the Lutron threads.
