Onkyo line sold
#1
So Oppo goes down the other day, and now a company called TLC Multimedia has bought out the rights to the Onkyo line of products outside of Japan. Not quite as dire, but it doesn't necessarily sound like a good thing either.

I did a search and didn't find anything about this.  Do you have a link to more information?

It was being discussed on RemoteCentral:

But, later discussion indicates that they may have clarified that to NOT include home A/V gear. So that would be weird, to have one brand name, but one company makes some of the stuff under that brand and another makes other stuff. I didn't realize there was much stuff outside of A/V that Onkyo made to be honest.
