Yeh, I guess they could be auto-disabled.

Dean,
Zwave driver has been a dream past 2 weeks after last drop. Not a high priority but I still get in the cqc system logs: Write failed on /Local/COM8. Port Err.{None} a few times a day. It isn't causing any issues that I see. in the trace it shows  [ERROR]- Recycling serial port.. Thought maybe you could take a quick look to see if you spot something obvious. I have swapped serial ports. Moved from Leviton stick to smartthings, I have included the CQC log, CQC trace, and 2 Z-wave traces from the Z-wave toolbox(when I see the Aeotec device go silent) CQC Aeotec stick is device #45 It looks from my untrained eye that right before I get a Recycle serial port there is a bunch of messages back and forth to one unit. Not the same unit every time, but normally a far away unit.  Is it possible that it's not a serial port issue after all but the responses back from the unit are out of order, delayed or not what the driver is expecting? Thanks Kevin

Maybe it's causing a blast of messages that are overwhelming the serial port buffering in the faux serial port driver. But, it looks like the driver is successfully recovering from that, so that's good.
