Those are search commands, not filter commands. There could be filtering versions of them, but those would need to be different commands. I think you'd still want the search commands since folks may want to see all of their their titles that are a particular format and whatnot. It might require some changes to the CAB which really 'thinks' in terms of searches and search result sets.

I don't think ypu can remove the search type commands, because as you say, some people use them that way.  What I am after is a "Select" which only gives you the albums that meet the criteria, just like the Category browser.  Would it be possible as a quick fix, just to make the existing search commands run only on the current genre category so the two conditions are ANDed rather than either a Genre Category OR a Search

I've added a new search on the CAB which will return up to X number of randomly selected titles from either music or movies. That will be in 5.2.915. If there are enough titles available, and generally there would be, it will return exactly X items. If you have a small number available, it's more likely to get redundant hits and it will only make so many tries before it stops wasting time and might return fewer than X. But for a typical setup, if you have hundreds of titles, and want to return 8 or 16 or something, it will always get you that many.
