Our ISP (Softlayer) is doing a security patch on their virtual machine systems that can't be done while running, so they are going to be updating systems in groups. Ours is in a location that's supposed to be done today (Jan 5th) though sometimes these things don't go according to schedule and it might slip since this is the first day of the process. So presumably they take us down, do the patch, and then restart us, or perhaps it's a patch on the underlying VM software and requires the hosting machine to restart, not sure.
It shouldn't be down long, but it may be long enough for some folks to get a failure if they hit us at the right (wrong) time.
