Node Red and CQC
#1
I have been seeing a lot of stuff about Node Red lately as I have been following up on MQTT and LoRa and I am yet to play with it yet to get a better understanding of it and what its really for.

Has anyone here played with it yet?

Is there a place for it with CQC?  I was watching a LoRaWAN gateway video this morning and they had node red built into the gateway.  This made configuration quite easy and in that instance you would then connect it to CQC through some method (Many options available I think)

There are many other devices that can use Node Red and I am wondering how it would fit in the CQC universe.  It could be a stop-gap MQTT gateway until we get a driver to work with a broker.

Looks to me more like a tools layer for small devices or something, right?

yeah, its a way of connection stuff together - bit like CQC does.

There is MODBUS support, MQTT support, LoRa/LoRaWAN support and many others and appears to have many manufactures/protocol on board.

I'm sure it can be used with CQC via http request quite easily but not having actually delved into it yet and only see it in every video I look at I am wondering how it fits in the universe we are in.
