Lutron Caseta & Zwave Issues
#41
You have a dimmer count of 7 but only 2 dimmers. So you need to reduce dimmer count to match what you actually have.

That didnÔÇÖt make a difference. I think I am not writing the commands correctly.

Flush the logs and put the driver into high verbosity for a couple minutes then take it back out and get a log dump. Let's see what its saying.

Also should I be able to reload the Cfg file from the Admin interface? I get the value couldn't be written to driver
Reply

You are writing True or False to the ReloadCfg field? If that fails, then most likely it's due to a parsing error on the file, or the driver is not connected. If the driver is connected, then while its in verbose mode write to the ReloadCfg field to force it to try to load the config so that we can see the error. I was assuming in the instructions above that it wasn't connected and therefore would be continuing to try to load the file.

Hmmm... For some reason it's just saying it failed to load the file, but not why. I'll have to look at that. Hang on...

You have a tab at the start of each of the lines, or a bunch of spaces at least, which isn't legal. The lines need to start fully left justified, so delete those lines. The driver should have logged something about that, looking at the code. Not sure why it didn't.

I took your file above and got rid of the spaces and it loads fine (after fixing the 7 to a 2.) Make sure you are actually editing the file you think you are. Sometimes, if you don't run the editor as admin, and you try to edit something in the Program Files areas, Windows actually redirects you to a per-user directory somewhere else, so you aren't actually editing the file that the driver is looking at.

Just as a sanity check, open a command prompt as admin, then change to:

x:\Program Files (x86)\CQC\CQCData\MacroFileRoot\RadioRA2

and do:

Type luLites.cfg

and see if the file has the actual content you think you've been editing. If not, then above probably happened. If so, do:

Notepad luLItes.cfg

and that should work since you are in an Admin mode command prompt and so Notepad should start as an Admin.

If that's not it, let me know.
