I could use a basic overview for complete newbies. I had played with CQC a couple months back and couldn't quite get past the learning curve but would like to give it another shot before giving up.

Yep. Best path is to watch all the video tutorials, read through the written stuff, then join the webex so it's not greek to you. You may have to re-watch the video's afterwards to drive the point home, but we can get you up the curve pretty quickly.

Q1) How's Saturday 1/6 and Saturday 1/27, 8:30am PST/11:30am EST sound to folks?

Q2) Any topics that folks know of now that they want to cover?

That sounds like a good start. We can also go over 2.0.1 and playlists for jukebox type functionality!!

Personally, I think we can go over the basics of CQC for new users, but there are a lot of neat tips/tricks/features that some of us with established systems would like to learn more about.

I would also like to revisit the triggered events and some more advanced logic. With these RFID tags, there is a lot of logic/filtering that I would like to take a look at with someone who has done it (ahem..Jonathan). :-D

Oh, and some zWave stuff if there is anything new on that horizon.

Why don't we say that the regular meeting starts at 9:00am, and newbies should join at 8:30am for a 30 minute overview? Or vice-versa, the first 90mins are for the regular meeting, then 10:00-10:30 is the newbie intro...

I should be around to answer questions on my drivers, hopefully jkmonroe can make it and talk about his experience with the Squeezebox and RFID stuff.
