5.5 Beta Discussions Thread

It doesn't seem too likely that any 5.4.0 issues are going to come up immediately and require a followup release. So I'm taking my chances at having to work on two streams at once and going ahead with some early 5.4 beta stuff. Some of this early stuff could be 5.4.1 stuff, and some might end up in such. But, for now it's beta bits. Because the changes are so small, it's essentially 5.4. The biggest change was just to remove the old RIVA system. That's not likely to introduce any issues, but it's by far the biggest change in the 5.4.900 drop I just put up.
