No necessarily CQC related, but more towards automation.
With a baby on the way I'm looking at video baby monitors. However, instead of spending $150-200 on a item that isn't integrated with any other systems I'm tempted to do a roll-your-own approach. Main requirement is having 2-way audio. PTZ would be nice but can deal with a fixed camera as well. Anyone done this themselves?

We use a Dropcam. From what I tested, it has unparalleled night vision, awesome zoom ability, 2-way audio, and can alert your app (and now CQC) on motion and sound.

I grabbed one of these to try out.
http://www.amazon.com/Fujikam-Wireless-M...00JAJ9U8K/ It arrives today so maybe I'll have some time to check it ou.
The Nest looks pretty good and is rated well but I don't want to have to subscribe to have video recording and I'd like PTZ controls.

I would like to know if this can send out a HTML GET request on movement etc and if you can control the PTZ through CQC (HTML commands or other).
Experience says no which is why feedback is important so we know for sure.

How does it work without internet? Does it work at all with CQC directly (not IFTTT). Even at the lowest res it exceeds my monthly data limit.
