Tray Monitor
#31
Yes!

IMHO, the root issue is the admin interface, isn't good at displaying this info. It would be nice to have it all on one screen somewhere. The first thing I do when I upgrade is verify all my drivers are working. And also because I develop I want to make sure if I am running a DEV or Prod driver and the version.

I was trying to create a web page for my system to give me status of loaded/unloaded drivers, versions, make/model etc. But there is no CML object that can give you that info. If a driver isn't loaded it isn't listed. Would be really nice to have the info (Status, Make, Model, Version, etc) from the admin screen accessible via CML too.

That's a possibility.

When I login to my CQC Server with the tray monitor running, my monitor streams all kinds of queued popups... CQC Service is stopped, CQC Service is starting, CQC Service is running, CQC Service is Stopping....

At first I was shocked and thought there was an issue with the service, but then I realized it was just queued messages. You might consider timing those out, so people aren't reacting to events from the distant past...

So this is a single machine setup, and when yous ay login you mean power up the system? If the system is already running, then the service should already be up and running and the tray monitor shouldn't say anything. It only pops up messages when the state changes. And, if you aren't logged in, then the tray monitor isn't running so it couldn't be queing up messages that occured while you were logged off.

So I'm not sure how this is happening.

This is not a single machine system. This a my master server, I was already logged in. Maybe it's because I RDP in? Anyway I had a few days of popups waiting for me...

Oh, OK, yeh, RDP is probably it. You probably left a session running but you aren't really logged in with a display to show the events right? I.e. you just connected back to a running session? I would presume that it's Windows itself that's passing those msgs at that point when it finally has a display available. The Tray app wouldn't hold onto them. I wonder if they have a time stamp so that I could toss old ones? I'll have to look.
