Universal Devices ISY Insteon Driver
see, that's the thing. that URL doesn't work for me.

i'm on a different software version of the ISY from everyone else, i went up to 5.0.4.

im going to keep in this thread as running commentary for myself while i tinker, but don't worry about anything from me. after these few weeks i think im going to trash my entire system and start fresh.

well, at least using the network module i can make an http call from the ISY to tell CQC within 2-3 seconds that the door was unlocked or locked.

The REST call to lock/unlock from within CQC isn't working, will keep trying.

yup. Also just got the rest call to lock/unlock doors from a browser working, created global actions, will test them tomorrow. Too late tonight.

Assuming it works, i'm in business. I set up a 2nd zWave network using VRCOP just for controllers so those are functioning. Can't get a controller button to control lights natively since they're on the ISY, so will look at user actions to see what I can do.

How did you set this up? I briefly played with it but got an error.

ok so first off, set up 2 network resources for each lock (unlock and lock). Each one is just an http get to CQC. I still use the CML macro that (wuench?) put up on the forums, but the http trigger would work too.

Then, set up 2 triggers for each. (lock and unlock).

I have this set to repeat every 5m just in case CQC didn't catch the first one, that might be wicked overkill and in theory I should be able to remove the repeat.

Thats it. Pretty simple.

On the CQC side, I trigger off that inbound field. I created 1 variables driver field for each lock, boolean type. When new value of the inbound web server field=BackUnlock, set BackLock field = False. When field=BackLocked, set field=True. Repeat for front door.

Want a screen grab of that?

I must be lucky with my house construction as the SmartThings hub VRCOP combo and my Yale locks works very well. I have 3 repeaters in the house (for my ZWAVE gate sensors more than anything) and 1 zwave lightswitch that repeats the security protocol.

I was (still am) interested in the 1 controller concept for multiple technologies vs individual PLCs for each thing.

actually, i'm thinking that if ISY has committed to doing zWave, we push them to support it in a standard fashion across devices then CQC leans on ISY for reconciling multiple manufacturer implementations.
