Fibaro RGB controller
#11
I added a file for it, so check it after the next drop. It's battery powered so you'll have to power cycle it after you do the auto-config, though the only configuration in this case is adding the VRC0P to group one, which is probably already done. And of course you won't see any value until it changes and sends something out, or does one of its wake-up rounds, which can be fairly wide spread with the default settings to save battery.

Thanks Dean, is that an update for both devices?

Just the tilt sensor. That's the only Z-Wave device you mentioned in that post, right?

Also, while you are in zwave land (once you get in there) can you add the device listed below?

Z-wave Plus Gold Plated Reliability Garage Door Tilt Sensor, White (TILT-ZWAVE2.5-ECO) by Ecolink?  Zwave device info.  Using this to monitor my garage door, plugs into another module on the SmartThings hub to control the Chamberlain garage door opener.

Maybe a small nice distraction from Jarvis...

Thanks Dean!

Asked first about getting color control capability.

Oh, OK. That isn't just a device file. That will require a new command class to be added, so a good bit more work. The beta isn't going to be nearly as long as originally thought since we are going to make 5.1 mainly just be Jarvis, and it looks like it's pretty close to a shippable first version. So there won't be time to do it in that context. I'll have to wait until after, when I get back to the HTML client and we have a more extended beta period.

BTW, I just saw some announcement from Z-Wave about some sort of testing and trouble shooting tool. That might be something of use to Z-Wavers here. Not sure what the state of it is, or even exactly what it is. But something like that is sorely needed.

Dean, reminder about this...

This device is very cool, and an inexpensive end result!!!   Cool

We will need a "backdoor" to send direct commands to the unit as it has some pre-built lighting fun like police car flashing lights, fireplace, storm, the next 2 cycle colors deep fade, lite fade.

From SmartThings it is controllable by Google Home very well, have not figure out how to get Alexa to work, a simple scan for new devices like with GH didn't work. It appears that Alexa is not picking up my Z-Wave switch devices, hmmm...

I'm finishing up the wiring today (as soon as it stops raining) on the lighting I installed on my deck this Saturday.  I'll post install, parts, technical detail, some pictures and maybe a video on my User Systems thread this week sometime (weather permitting Sad )

Thanks!

Let us get 5.1 out, then we can take a look at some new bits and pieces like this.

I really think these LED lights have many uses and not just a toy(as my Halloween display project). I have seen some good use for under kitchen cabinet lights. They are also waterproof so was thinking about under outdoor decks.
