Fibaro RGB controller
#1
Support appears to be added at 4.6.920.

I'm having trouble finding this product; it appears to be Z-wave not wifi.

From the release notes:

"Do a driver for the Fibaro RGB LED controller, the Wifi version if that makes a difference."

thanks

You mean finding the physical product, right? Or finding the driver?

The driver is in the usual place, it's the device itself I'm confused about.

I'm hoping this is it but seems to be z-wave only:

Looks like this will work through a SmartThings hub, 4 channels on/off/dim + master on/off & master dimmer and from what I have read each will show up as a separate light.  Now that I am aware of this solution I'm seriously tempted to go this path for my deck lighting since it would't take a new driver. The only hinky part would be figuring out how to combine the RGBW levels to get particular colors combos.  Maybe Dean can figure out how to handle that with a modified config for the zwave driver so that we can get a color wheel like interface? Dean...   Big Grin

Sorry for double post still getting used to new BBS software.

Did some testing with the Zwave Fibaro z-wave lights and they workeded well and looked great. I only could set the canned config values(parameter 72) and not a color. I think setting actual colors is going to need a modification to the driver as it is more than just setting a "config". After looking at the smartthings driver the protocol is pretty clear but was over my zwave knowledge.( I couldn't figure how to write color strings like white "33050302FF03F104E064" directly to the zwave device(Fibaro).

I set up a few command buttons to test and they worked(here is one to set it to "fire place" color or flames)

Devices::FieldWrite
   P1=Zwave.InvokeCmd
   P2=SetCfgParam FibaroRGBW 72 6 1
   P3=True

Here are the ones I tested.. (value 6-10)
------------------------------------
Fire Place paramNumber:72, value:6,  size:1
Storm paramNumber:72, value:7,  size:1
Deep Fade paramNumber:72, value:8,  size:1
Lite Fade   paramNumber:72, value:9,  size:1
Police paramNumber:72, value:10, size:1

I think it would be a great addition to CQC as these lights have great array of colors. I have seen them used in under kitchen cabinet lighting and looked fantastic.

I guess I'm ordering one but I still don't see how a WiFi driver can also work with z-wave.

Does not use the WiFi driver. uses the Zwave one with the  Zwave.InvokeCmd. Again I couldn't set a color only set fibaro lights to the demo colors(police,fire,storm,etc).

After a little(very little) research looks like Dean would have to add the command class to the zwave driver that would allow us to set the color for a Z-wave Fibaro RGBW led light.

Color Switch COMMAND_CLASS_SWITCH_COLOR 0x33

Remind me again once we get into the later stages of the 5.1 betas and I can look into it.

Bump reminder!  Just ordered one...  :-)   be nice if we could use the color widget to control the color (or whatever you would call it)

Also, while you are in zwave land (once you get in there) can you add the device listed below?

Z-wave Plus Gold Plated Reliability Garage Door Tilt Sensor, White (TILT-ZWAVE2.5-ECO) by Ecolink?  Zwave device info. Using this to monitor my garage door, plugs into another module on the SmartThings hub to control the Chamberlain garage door opener.

Maybe a small nice distraction from Jarvis...

Thanks Dean!
