I am still getting lots of LostComm errors... Would it make sense to increase the timeout more? Is there something I should try on my end? Sage and CQC run well without taxing the system...

I guess, though I probably need to increase other ones too...

Keep the high verbose mode and try to find a pattern to those lost com...

Sage Media Server driver (beta) - sic0048 - 06-19-2009

My Sage drivers have been up since last Wednesday (about 9 days now) and I have 5 lostCommRes and 0 Lostconn on the server driver and 4 lostCommRes and 1 Lostconn on the extender.

Just as a comparison, the SagePopup driver has been loaded the same amount of time and has 0 lostCommRes and 0 Lostconn.

Just wanted to throw that out there. I don't think 5 errors in a week is a lot, but it does look like it is a driver issue and not a hardware issue.

Most likely, some small hiccups along the way are treated as full blown lostCommRes...

I see similar statistics in my setup. Doesn't seem to affect functionality.

Usually setting the verbose to Low will output only any exceptions that occur...so you might try doing that for a bit and then check the logs when the Lostcomm increases again.

It does not appear the lastest version of Sage and CQC play nice together..

I am on 3.0.0 of CQC and SageTV V6.5.9.204

First I upgraded Sage and was getting errors like below and sage woud not start. The errors state 'Error starting SageCQC-SageServer' on certain ports. After a little thinking and help from the sage guys I removed the startup for the jar for SageCQC. It is my understanding this was the old jar anyway.. Copy of error and link bleow. After I remved that Sage started fine, I fired up a movie. While the movie was plaiyng I intsalled the new CQC. Continued to watch movie and we had full controls(I use a IRA-3 so only way to control sage is via CQC). This mornig I restart the box and I get similar java port errors but for SageTCPServer-SageServer.

Is a new JAR needed for CQC 3.0.0? What confuses and pisses me off the most is that after upgrading Sage and CQC it ran find until I restarted the box.

FIRST JAVA ERROR

I have a thread on the sage forum outlining my problem..

I was thinking about this more, I assume I dont need to upgrade Java to get this to work?

Sage Media Server driver (beta) - beelzerob - 07-03-2009

*probably* not.

open up a windows command prompt, and type netstat, and see if the ports you have specified have anything listed for them.
