The HD100 extender license *is* a placeshifter license. I personally have not ethical conflict with transferring that license along with the hardware, but I haven't read the license agreement that came with it.
I haven't looked into transferring the server license. I assumed that if you de-install it from everywhere else it would be legal, but I haven't researched it.
