ISY994i Support - simplextech - 12-29-2019

In my new test setup I've noticed that not all of the devices in my ISY994i are showing in "Lighting Loads" in SystemCfg.

I have several switches that in the driver are showing as relay and are not being shown as options in Global SystemCfg for Lighting Loads which means I can't add them to rooms.

Are Scenes supported by the driver?  None of them are visible for use as well.

In Thermostats my zwave T-Stats from the ISY are not visible and I get a driver not loaded for that section as well.  I'm guessing they are not supported through this interface?

RE: ISY994i Support - simplextech - 12-29-2019

Looking closer through the driver documentation I found the item of adding the note for devices that CQC thinks are relays to include them as Lights. Works great.

New item is that none of my Scenes are showing up in the ISY Driver console. Is there something special needed in their notes as well?

RE: ISY994i Support - simplextech - 12-29-2019

The current v2 driver is having connection issues and filling my ISY error log with -5012 errors

-5012 UPNP SUBSCRIBER NOREPLY TO EVENT 1 subscriber didn't reply to the event:couldn't write header

It looks like the v2 driver is still using the SOAP interface? Not using the websocket and REST interface?

What CQC version are you on? If you are on the 906, 907, or 908 betas, there were some networking issues introduced that were taken care of in 909, so grab that one if so, before we dig deeper.

Currently testing against the 5.4 release.  I started with a beta I think 908 and hit issues with Sonos so I thought I'd start exploring with a release before I entered beta territory.  I'll load up 909 and see what I get.

RE: ISY994i Support - simplextech - 12-29-2019

I loaded 909 and the same errors.

You might try the V1 driver.  I have had more luck with that one for Zwave - I couldn't get V2 to recognize the device (A GE Fan Control) when it showed up in the ISY Config Panel, but your post here made me think about the note you mentioned that maybe I needed something in the ISY Config notes to make it work.  I would love to move on to V2, but without Zwave support, I have stayed with V1.

What Z-Wave device support are you needing?  I'm running ISY v2 and I can see my z-wave switches (power plugs) in the driver info.  I do NOT see my z-wave thermostat's which is not good nor do I see any of my ISY Scenes which is also not good.

I think the ISY v2 driver needs some love....

RE: ISY994i Support - Dean Roddey - 12-30-2019

That driver was never really intended to be a Z-Wave solution. It was for Insteon. They threw the Z-Wave stuff in after the fact, and after we put in a huge effort to have a native Z-Wave driver that is tightly integrated into CQC. I've added some basic Z-Wave support to it, but that's it so far.
