Well I've wasted endless time on this crappy protocol. I have basic transport and power support.

Can't really usefully do audio since it won't even respond to audio commands unless it's playing media and you can't query it to get the initial value. You pretty much will just have to use the IR type commands.

I tried to add some PlayXXX type fields to let you invoke playback if you know the correct URL, but despite trying endless permutations I can't get it to play a single thing via the control interface (though it plays them fine from the UI.) And even if I got it working, I have no idea if the same would work for SMB type access (I had to use NFS access since the stupid thing wouldn't access my Windows shares no matter what I did.)

So not a lot of functionality really so far and way too much time wasted.

Here's something to start with. For this guy to work, you need to go the settings and then the power options and set the power off command to to 'black screen' mode and the power on command go to the main screen. Then the driver will cause those things to happen. Otherwiser, power off will literally turn it off and it won't respond without using the remote to power it back on. Instead you set it to just blank the screen as a 'power off'.

Where, and how do I import the driverpack?

In the Admin Interface, in the main menu File -> Tools -> Import Package I think it is.

I got it to connect now. I will try, and see what else will work later today.

Is there anyway to see what you need from the android app?

I'm not sure what you mean?

To get it to work like you wanted.

I got the power, play, pause, FF, and RW functions working, but not the stop button for some reason. It keeps giving a reject error. Is it going to be possible to get the arrow commands, return, and enter working too?

In addition since the Yamaha, and Dune will not use a single button for powering on or off for some reason. How do I use a hide/show? I would like when the template loads to have it show the power status, and hide a button. So if the template loaded and the power was off for the Dune the only power button that would appear is the one to power on, and then if I hit the power button to turn it on...it would turn it on, and then hide that button, and show the button to turn it off.

That's part of the problem with the Dune. It only takes some commands in some states. It's hard to know which are valid when. The other commands are via the IR command field, which lets you send the various 'faux IR' type commands.

You don't need to use hide/show. Use the power state of the device with a check box widget to show and toggle the power state.
