Alarm Decoder for Ademco Honeywell Vista 20P - gReatAutomation - 05-21-2019

I see it's been a couple of years since the last post on the Alarm DecodeR AD2USB device: http://www.alarmdecoder.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/29

I have a newly installed Ademco Honeywell Vista 20P. I did get the Tuxedo Touch Controller but it's so-so as far as automation and ZWave is concerned. There is an HTTP API that one can access however, I have not been able to figure out how to get an API key to actual try to use it.

Dean, it looks like they've updated their SW interface since the last thread a couple of years ago: https://www.alarmdecoder.com/wiki/index.php/Developers

Any chance at being able to integrate this?

There's not much information available, or doesn't appear to be, wrt to the state of the system. It looks like it provides a basic 'these zone are faulted' report and a handful of basic status values for the device itself. It allows you to query a few things about the available zones.

From my reading you can interact with the panel (arm/disarm, etc.)

I was looking at the other one, the Developers link, which is an HTTP interface. That one obviously as a lot more info It looks doable. But it'll end up being pretty time consuming, and you may be the only person who ever actually uses it, so I might have to charge you a nominal fee to help offset some of the time spent.

And of course it would have to be remotely available to me for reasonably extended period of time.

Thanks. Any other options for those of us using Ademco Honeywell Vista panels? They are pretty common in new construction from what I have seen.
