It's doable. It won't be trivial. It's on the list and maybe I can work it into 5.3. To be really done right on the security and robustness front, it would need to be carefully thought out.

Completely agree.

Thank you Dean.

I finally got that dang bulk loader done and tested out.

Dean,

I saw someone mention earlier that a Smarthings driver would be appreciated, I would agree with that as I am using it as a z-wave controller. Do you think you could piggyback off this homebridge project to build a driver? It may even be possible to skip going to the cloud for some actions with the local processing that is slowly being implemented.

I've been banging away on the RA2/Caseta client driver. This has required making some internal improvements to the server side driver as well to make it all work better. I'm just about done with it. My new Z-Stick is supposed arrive tomorrow. I'll finish up the client side driver before I move back to that.

RE: Official 5.3 Beta Discussion Thread - Dean Roddey - 11-24-2017

I threw away most of yesterday's work on the Lutron client side driver, because it was spiralling downhill. I went back to where I was before and picked up from there again and it's doing better. I have basic driver config editing seeming to work. I need to test and tighten.

OK, the client side driver is just about done. It's nothing fancy but a lot better than hand editing a file, and it makes good use of the new edit in place and column sorting so it's easy to manage the modules.

While at it, will you add the shades/blinds as an option to the RA2 driver?

Remind me again later, after I've struggled through the new Z-Wave driver. I need to get that done, or at least decide if I can get that done.

Done properly, with support for Plex as a DLNA server, it would be a major improvement.  Use CQC to stream media from a local NAS or internet sources.  As you said in earlier post, this would work well for the pro-installers.  It shouldn't be so hard to do, given that the basic widgets are already there.

I live in hope, but I surpose CQC Voice will win in the end.  After all Amazon Echo is obviously failing in the market place and the world is waiting for a CQC offering using obsolete hardware and home brewed microphones.
