Well, I did get the java source code from Broconne and merged it into the skeleton I had started. It can initiate the communication, but I just haven't been able to spend the time to sit down and figure out if the handshake works and more importantly how to update the Android's UI.
Since the other projects that were eating up my development time are getting in good shape, hopefully I'll be able to give it a more serious shot soon.
I think this is great how the user base has taken on development of the product. You guys deserve more money that what you will get in the end. It is rather dissapointing that charmed quark are not involved with the development (either funding or actual code). These products (the iPhone and droid compatible) will sell CQC more than anything else. Those that are sitting on the fence will see the two options and it will help sway their decisions.
Keep up the good work, you know you have everyone behind you.

We have no money to fund it with and no expertise at all in Android or its development environment, so there's not much we could really be doing.
I underst and appreciate that, and what I posted is just my personal opinion.
I think you are very lucky that you have users who are willing to do this for you and would hope that you do whatever you can for these people to help them move forward with these solutions - your support for them in whatever way/form you can provide I would assume be appreciated by those doing the work.

Well, I spent more time than expected on my SageTV Android application, but now I am coming back to this RIVA project.
You will likely need to be patient some more, as I have never coded anything related to graphics and such before.

Just got a Samsing Galaxy S mobile today. Runsa Android, so I am keen for this app on Droid now. Will alpha/beta test as well if needed

HTC Hero
Samsung I7500
Google Nexus One
i will happy also be a beta tester.
My wife has HTC Desire and would be "happy" to help test.
Also happy to provide any wisdom/answers gleaned from iPhone RIVA development.
Another interested user here available for testing. My wife has a Moto Droid and I am getting a Droid X in about a week.
