I'm not sure anyone actually compiled it in Mono. If I remember correctly, it was more a conversation of "what if" rather than real implimentation.

I'd love to see some solution that works specifically on the Nokia tablets. I have several and they make great IVs. But using RDP on them really prevents them from going mainstream. It's just too problematic right now to expect them to work without any connection issues. (It works fine for me making the RDP connection and then using them out by the pool or something like that for the day. But you cannot rely of them 24/7 using RDP).

Hmmm.. The "product?" :-D
I installed it all on my Master Server, but don't see it in the program list. I know the server is install because my iPod connects fine. I do see something called CQCRPortClient_3_0.dll but no exe. Am I close?

I want to install it at work, so I'm not sure the install will run there.

Yeah, I do remember seeing the Mac version, but as you say, not really finished.

I wonder if a RIVA to HTML converter would ever be possible?
If you look in the Start Menu, there should be a Remote Viewer Client. At work, do a standalone remote viewer mode install. All it will install is the remote viewer client and no services or anything.
O.K. Great. Thanks.
I think I found another issue. Popups when programmed to go to -1,-1 on both the Iphone RIVA and Windows Riva client render off screen, up and to the left. On the IV this is centered. I want to say they are rendering the bottom right corner at the center of the screen.
Are the ports used for the RIVA client connection TCP or UDP or a combination of both?

Mick
They are TCP.

All my popups are set up with the default positioning and they all show up correctly centered for me. Maybe it only happens with the device is smaller than the templates or something? They will center relative to the template, not to the window. But, if that would put them off the window area, they'll be forced back visible again if possible.
Ah, ok. I am doing it from a little menu popup in the top left and the new popup is triggered from there. So it looks like it is centering the popup over the center of the menu, but half of the popup is off screen. The second popup is less than the screen size, it isn't being forced back onscreen on either RIVA client.

I guess I will need to hard code coordinates for those, that's gonna be a pain. It seems more intuitive to me to have the popup coordinates relative to the screen vs. the calling template, or at least to have an option to center it to the screen.
