Any suggestion on a cool cpu for a CQC server. Right now I'm using dual opteron processors. The server also has four 500Gb hard drives. Between the processors and hard drives, the heat coming from the server is making my A/V closet very warm. Keeping the door open isn't an option because of the noise coming from the two heat sinks and the four case fans.

Also, my A/V closet has a A/C vent.
Have you tried the Zalman fans? I have 2 PCs in my closet running 24x7 and the noise is less than my new Epson 1080P projector in low mode.
How is the heat coming from the computer? What cpu are you using?
I have one with a AMD 2600 (not sure as it is a couple of years old) the other is a Dual core 2.4ghz. I have a cealing fan over the rack (looks like a quiet bathroom fan) that was installed by the builder. My PCs used to be very noisy till I went with a Zalman case, case fans and CPU fan.
My biggest problem is the amount of heat coming from the server.
Ca you plumb an exhaust fan out of the room?

Wow, that box sounds like SERIOUS overkill for a CQC server. I'm assuming you're serving video or something w/ that much umph behind it. Dell has deals for extremely cheap servers w/ low-end video for cheap (I have one I bought for $300 shipped). They don't try to throw in a huge flat panel or the such and that keeps the price down. It didn't even have a dual core but they were relatively new and top of the line. From looking at their offerings w/o deals, you can get a decent rack mount box for under $1k.

Russ...
No, that would be a little hard.
FWIW, I was using an AMD2500 as the CQC MS with no issues.

The only reason I stepped up was b/c of the other crap I was putting on it (SQL*Server, CCTV, SageTV, etc)
