I'm totally new to CQC, but have run a moderately complex Elk M1G system for several years.  I'm running a CQC eval - I've done the install, added ElkM1 zones & Lighting, but the UPB V2 driver fails with following:

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction to resolve.  Thanks,

It's looking for a file, presumably exported from the UPB software, called UPB.csv, or maybe you have to create that. You'll have to read the driver docs for details.

Since the driver is a CML driver, the files it opens will be relative to:

[cqc]\CQCData\MacroFileRoot

So that file would be:

[cqc]\CQCData\MacroFileRoot\Drivers\UPB\UPB.csv

on the machine where the UPB driver is loaded. You'd have to make the UPB directory and put the file in there. Here is the UPB driver thread from the drivers section of the forum:

OK, reading the driver docs, it appears that there is a file that the UPBStart software will export. There is or was a converter for that that would turn into the .csv format that the driver wants. I'm not sure if that is still available or not. If not you'd have to set it up yourself, to tell the driver what types of modules you have, what their UPB addresses are, what field attributes they should have and so forth. The driver loads this and uses it to create the fields.

If the converter is no more, probably best to just try it first with a handful of manual options. Make sure you understand what it wants before you commit to entering a bunch of values.

Too many of these companies really don't appreciate how much it would mean to customers to have a way for the automation system to automatically gather this information. It's not enough to just have a control protocol.

PM me with your email address, I might be able to assist with the conversion program Dean mentioned  Angel
I may have a copy too, or at least hope I do still.
The UPB upstart file converter made all the difference - works like a charm.  Thanks to Batwater for sending me the converter and Dean and others for pointing me in the right direction.

I'm about 2 weeks into my CQC eval - so far, I like what I see.  Via CQC, I now have Alexa controlling a few UPB lights and triggering on motion sensors in ELK M1G zones.

Still have 2 to 3 weeks of eval to learn other CQC capabilities.
Before you go too far down the Alexa road, look at the Project X sticky thread in this section. That's another, upcoming, means for voice control that offers a different set of possibilities. You may like one or the other more.
