How To: Have CQC know (and announce) the fuel remaining in your car
#21
Recorded a video about this, and how when I turn off my alarm clock my stereo announces the weather & how much gas I have left. Works via the Echo too.

That's pretty cool. Of course I go through like $20 of gas every other month, so it's not something I'd need, but pretty cool nonetheless.

Dang. My last client was $5/gas/day, the one that just pinged me is 2x that.

2 hours into re-establishing this, I discover that the Google Pixel XL2 doesn't reliably work with the Kiwi 3 *or* the OBDLink. Sigh. Doesn't reliably work with my Fitbit either..

i am looking for a way to interface cqc running on a master server that is on board the vehicle to the vehicles canbus. i have been searching and reading to see if i could decode the various threads about automatic, kiwi, obdlink, etc but it appears these are not about a direct connection between cqc and canbus (but maybe i just don't speak jive well enough yet). looks like a guy was trying to build one a few years ago but the link he provided goes to an insurance company now so perhaps he was ahead of his time. does anyone know of a way to plug canbus into cqc?
