Wireless Tags? MyTagList.com?
#31
I was sad to hear that this can't be accessed locally. I stumbled on this at CES which seems like the same thing. https://sen.se/peanut/ Its not shipping Sad

There were tons of these companies at CES. These were the only guys I talked to. I didn't have the energy to hunt down a good one.

I had setup the tags to trigger on motion and call a Local URL on my CQC server. Trying to use the params on the triggers didn't work for me so I needed to manually set each trigger. For motion, the 'alarm' would make a call like /TriggerMotion?Sensor=DeepFreeze and then in CQC I'd parse the params and possibly act based on the value.

You could do same on the humidity where when it exceeds it limit it calls to CQC passing in the sensor name. Then CQC can act on it.

Played with it a bit just now. If you choose to make your tags publicly visible you can make simple http request to get current temp of multiple tags. And I made 30 requests as quickly as I could click button without any errors on over usage (not that I'd recommend any driver update that frequently)

Post Request to
Code:
http://mytaglist.com/ethLogShared.asmx/GetLatestMultiTagStatsByUUIDs
Headers:
Code:
User-Agent: Fiddler
Content-Type: application/json; charset=utf-8
Content-Length: 75
Host: mytaglist.com
Post Body:
Code:
{
    ids:["e3eee103-f145-412c-a33b-143886335a97"],
    type:"voltage"
}

note that I changed the id and it may be invalid now. just an example of how to make request.

Raw JSON Response:
Code:
{"d":{"__type":"MyTagList.ethLogs+MultiTagStatsRaw","stats":[{"date":"1/12/2016","ids":[1],"values":[[11.902085304260254]],"tods":[[54595]]}],"temp_unit":1,"ids":[1],"names":["MyTag"]}}

Temp is in Celsius

So, a driver could be written that takes in input of a line separated list of your Tag IDs. From that it can call the service to get Temp/Humidity on the tags and the returned info will have the identifier of each tag. The driver would also need to parse the JSON but that looks pretty basic on these calls. If the tag ID is made public then no auth is required for these calls.

There are a number of other calls that can be made, I was just looking for how to get current temp/humidity from a sensor.

I finally found a non-cloud one. Not quite the same, but basically each box has a mini web-server on you wifi network. In the forums I ready you can have multiple temp sensors on one unit. You can query the unit individually or have it send its data to a server.

Its somewhat hackish. But appears doable.

I got access to a friend's account to play with.

I created a Kumoapp for running an HTTPcall when the temperature changes. I left it overnight and woke up to a stopped app because they claim it was using too much CPU.

I'm not so sure about this product...

Maybe if you do like Sendero and poll it once a minute? I dunno, seems to beta-ish.

I hear that money can be exchanged for goods and services. I'll gladly exchange money for the service of someone writing the below. I have a half dozen of these, but having to go to a 2ndary app with no ability to graph/compare with my Elk temp sensors is too much.

LMK if anyone interested. I'd only want to pay $100 max though, beyond that i'll just give these away and buy 4 more wired temp sensors.

So all you need is the above thing, they just provide a temp?

How do you find them? Would you have to have some sort of configuration to set up the names you want them to have and their IP addresses or something like that?
