Wireless Tags? MyTagList.com?
#21
got mine today, installed & connected within seconds. Trying to figure out how the local URL stuff works although after several cocktails, whiskey, hot totty at neighbors houses I may or may not be having an easy time focusing on the screen. It was simple to connect to IFTTT though...

as far as my drunk ass can tell, CQC doesn't call it, it updates CQC with info on an event-driven basis.

IE, I have the following wireless tags installed:

[Image: RCZXuNah.png]

If I click the URL calling item on any of them, I get this. It appears like I can call a URL if <x> happens. I might try selecting all of them, but the hole is "what if none of these events happen ie nighttime, how can I determine current temp in that location"..

If I can figure that out, this would be infinitely easier than running wires for many locations. I could get another several and have 7 wired, 7+ wireless, and really determine efficacy of my insulation & windows.

If I setup unix (or a unix VM), this supposedly is the call:

https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgro...gGZ2p2kAnA

$ lynx --dump http://www.mytaglist.com/ethLogShared.as...ler_Output | cut -f7 -d" "> ./b.txt; C=$(<./b.txt); echo "9*$C/5+32" | bc -l

oy, so i'm trying to figure out how this works. Appears that you need to pull data from the website, you can't get it right from the device. And, I just got this:

You have downloaded full log from this tag less than a hour ago.
To reduce server load, if you are only looking for new data since last download, please use API such as
ethLogs.asmx/GetStatsRaw or ethLogShared.asmx/GetStatsRawByUUID to specify the date you want to download data from

I had looked at the graph available from the website, it was interesting but I wanted the raw data. I wonder if thats what I did wrong, dunno.

Anyhow i'll try again in an hour, and maybe look at the API. The one other concern is that the battery looks to last around 7 months. Wired ones are certainly way harder to run, but it is nice to set-and-forget.

OK, re-ran it, got CSV with full download. Here's the first few lines. Kinda stupid about that first line.

Code:
239187191SEP=,
Date,Time,Temperature(°F),Moisture(%),Battery(Volts)
"2015-12-24T21:44:38-08:00","74.5436149597168","50.5032958984375","3.2033379387653"
"2015-12-24T21:44:38-08:00","74.5436149597168","50.5032958984375","3.2033379387653"
"2015-12-24T21:53:40-08:00","69.6401008605957","46.3910522460938","3.20462865264317"
"2015-12-24T21:58:19-08:00","68.1729076385498","48.0542602539063","3.20501485050351"

There's one CSV per sensor. This means if I want historical and not current temp it *should* be automatable, I can grab that and get SQL*Server to import. I still have a graph creation error, but if you only use these I think here's a graph URL you can grab.

I still need to figure out how to grab the current temp without a triggering event. But the inlaws are here in 5m, so I can't do too much more research now.

Tried the humidity sensor in the bathroom, that might be a way to trigger turning on bathroom fan if someone is showering but didn't do that. The equipment seems okay, see below. Its taking a long time for the humidity sensor to drop back down. 30 minutes post shower its still showing 63% vs 50% pre-shower (and peaking at 75%). That might be true, but might not be

The alerts / custom URL calling upon an event work fine. Well, for the humidity anyhow. Still haven't examined regular polling though.

May be unrelated, but I just saw some stuff about a product called SIGNUL, which is a beacon system. So maybe something you guys would be interested in.

Still trying to figure out how one would poll these for inclusion within CQC screens but I think I like these. I still think wired/Elk ones are a better fir for native CQC screens plus I'll use those where I'll want to take the next step which is electronic duct dampers (to stop heating certain rooms at certain times of the day), but even if I have to use their website to retrieve data this is useful to understand temps & relative humidity for non-primary areas.

I'm *really* hoping I can fetch the humidity, or trap the notifications upon warning as thats the indicator someone is showering so I can turn on the bathroom fan, but given that I haven't had a moment to research it yet I can't state success or failure.
