VRCOP/latest CQC version?
#11
Strange, the Kitchen module is still in there, but it's now only sporadically failing, and now the BreakfastNook is failing and causing the error. It's dealing correctly with failures in during initial connection, but not during poll, so if one fails, it is losing the connection. Presumably it was always doing this but somehow now it's not dealing as gracefully with it.

What kind of poll speeds do you have on these guys?

Actually I did speed it up. It used to be at 120s, then dropped it down to 30s or faster on various devices.

That may be something to do with it, so you might try dropping them down again and see if it can take the new configuration. Watch the field on the driver that shows how many polls are currently due, and see how high that is going up.

I'll get a new drop up tomorrow with the tweaks I made. I think that, once one fails, that it fails to enforce the minimum inter-poll time, and that may make the 'am I still connected' test fail because it happens too fast.

OK, try 4.3.925 and see how that does.

In order for that to be happening, the VRCOP has to not be responding to the simple ping that is done after we timeout waiting for a response. So the VRCOP is getting unhappy for some reason. Sometimes it's timing out during polling and sometimes just during the basic communications during initial connection. It might be worth power cycling the VRCOP if you haven't already, just to make sure it's healthy.

What baud rate are you running it at?

I'm pretty sure the driver as a whole is happy, since there are other folks using it and I'm not getting screamed at by anyone else. So there's something going on there, but I'm not sure yet what it is. How many modules do you have on the Z-Wave network?

A ton, perhaps 20 or so. Might be the baud thing, trying to find a way to do the query command but I no longer have any XP machines and Win7 doesn't come with hyperterminal. Ugh.

Thing is, this worked fine on the non-beta...
