Backup via Xcopy
#1
Dean,
In backing up a CQC config by stopping service and then copying out the program directory is it necessary to copy the CQCData directory from the Program Data directory? Or is that regenerated when the installer is run? This is Win 7.

Some of it is, some isn't. Generally, instead of having one big \User section and one big \System section, it's divided up by functionality or content, with user and system sections underneath each. The user parts are copied forward, and the system parts are replaced with new stuff each time. So unless you wanted to do a lot of individual copies, and keep up with any potential new ones, you'd have to copy the whole thing.
