Official 2.2 beta thread
#11
Quote:Dean,
Just tried the upgrade. Same issue as one of the previous betas for 2.x. None of the loaded IR files came across. Both blast and receive are blank.

Can you upload the zip of your backed up MS directory somewhere so that I can download it and run the installer on it in the debugger?

I just upgraded to the new beta. One thing I noticed is in the Admin Interface, there used to be a box which showed the ZWave driver and the devices associated with it. This is no longer there. Is that normal now?

Jay

Edit:Figured it out.. Had to add it to the locally administered client drivers.

Yes, both are at 2.1.2.

Quote:Maybe I'll stop soon...in the new interface editor, when you load a template the scroll bar isn't active until you resize the window.

This has always been the case. It's a known bug that just hasn't been fixed yet, but it's on the list.

Quote:Not sure if it has to do with the upgrade or not but I lost my CQC Media repo driver. I was able to add it again but when I opened it from the Repo Manager I got this:

Get me a full log dump:

1. Open CQC Command Prompt
2. Do "CIDLogAdmin TestDump"
3. Zip up the file \Windows\Temp\CIDLogServer.Dump

E-mail me that zipped file and I'll see if I can get a feeling for what's going on there.

Upgraded to 2.2 and now I DO get a direct show graph error anytime I try to select a CD to play
Code:
Could not build the filter graph for file 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My Music\Blues Traveler\Straight on Till Morning\Blues Traveler Carolina Blues Straight on Till Morning 01.wma'

DirectShow error: 80040256

I've tried stopping and starting CQC, selecting different albums, etc with no effect.

EDIT - a reboot solved the problem this time.
Brian

"Really dear, it was too good of a deal to pass up. Besides, look at what it does now...."
I think my wife is getting a little tired of hearing this :-)

I could swear I used to be able to use the "-" character in moniker names but when adding a new driver the input editor doesn't allow it. Is this a deliberate change or am I dreaming?
#18
It's deliberate. There was a bug previously that allowed punctuation in driver moniker names, which could cause various problems, so that is now disabled.

OK, well it definitely doesn't like your media files. They are all failing to loaded, so the log is just filled up with errors about how each item file doesn't seem to be an item file. So I must'a screwed something up there. I'll look into it.

Doh! I see the problem. Let me fix this and I'll upload another version quickly with no other changes before I start working on other stuff.
