Can CQC be used for controlling theatrical lighting and special effects
#31
Did anyone ever try any of these solutions and if so did you get them integrated into CQC?

I don't think so. Of course you have the Hue system that could be used for special lighting stuff.

Yeah I don't think Hue has any underwater lights. I am upgrading my water feature and wanted to use DMX lights but really would like to integrate into CQC versus a separate interface or remote.

The new Z-Wave driver I'm working on supports Fibaro RGBW LEDs, though they probably aren't water proof either.

Would something like this be fairly easy to write a driver for?

If so maybe I will add one of these to control my lights .

It's not terribly complicate. For simple, one way control, say to invoke scenes with a fade time, you could do a PDL driver for that I'd guess. The 'human readable' protocol, though many companies think it's a good idea, actually makes for a really bad protocol, because a computer isn't human, and having to parse through that text, without any known structure for the lines, could be a mess.
