Official 5.4 Beta Release Thread
#51
5.3.952

This is the first 5.4 release candidate build, so any folks currently on betas please move up and let me know if you see any niggles that need unniggling.
  • The UPnP facility's container directory service isn't dealing gracefully with the fact that there may not be a resource id or metadata for a favorites item if those items are no longer valid.
  • The tFind() method that the index based collections use should not consider it an error if the start index is at the point just past the end. They should just return not found. Otherwise, you can't search an empty list or iterate all the way to the end via successive searches without special casing the last one. Noticed when using 'add new' in the GC-100/JAP port config on an empty list caused an error.
  • CQCTerminal should show virtual ports (GC-100/JAP) even if remote port support is not enabled.
  • Not that anyone probably cares now, but the old RIVA client is broken due to the bit object cache changes done a bit back, so I fixed that given that they haven't been formally removed yet. It also didn't understand the new 'on the fly' image type that was added for WebRIVA, so it was updated to ignore those.

  • Add an IgnoreNotFnd="Yes" option to the JSON map of the MQTT driver to allow incoming msgs that don't include the desired value to be ignored and not treated as errors as they otherwise would be.
  • The MQTT driver is putting the driver's trace file up one directory level too high. It should be down in the MQTT directory.
  • The new fixed size pool class wasn't calling PrepElement() to let the derived pool class reset the selected element. This could allow data to build up in the elements depending on how they were filled in. It showed up in the MQTT driver where outgoing msg data was accumulating.

  • The MQTT driver wasn't handling outgoing floating point field writes.

  • Factor out the MQTT driver's ExtractFrom/ExtractTo and StripWS options down a common base class that the JSON and multi-line value maps can derive from. This way all of these types of maps can support these as common options.

  • Add support to the Z-Wave for the Leviton DZR15-1RZ outlet. No associations so just outgoing control only.
  • The change in the last drop to add ExtractFrom/To stuff to all the complex maps stopped being tolerant of them not being there and providing default values, so it's complaining now if they aren't there. Make them optional on both JSON and multi-line maps.

  • Add support for the LeakGopher control valve to the Z-Wave driver
  • The CQC driver field extractor utility never got put back during the big code base update to modernize the C++ enumerations.
  • Add some extra logging in the widget palette to help diagnose a pub/sub msg being sent to it from the editor that maybe doesn't have an index value set that should be.
  • The SetWdgColor() command never got documented. It's available for all widgets.
