iOS App for WebRIVA - CTC CQC
#91
Question... This CTC CQC App... Could we not just make a custom template for the iPhone just as you would for a larger screen and then access it via WebRIVA?

What this guy does it let you run WebRIVA without the browser. Or with an embedded browser window, so that you have an actual application wrapper around it instead. That gives you more control and makes it easier to start it full screen and so forth.

Anyone have specs on pixel size when running this app for various devices (iPhone and iPad, etc.) in landscape and portrait? Specifically, when creating a template, what is the Size under Base Settings for the various iPhone and iPad models and orientations?

The standard pixel sizes are not accurate when using the CTC CQC app, or WebRIVA client.

Below is for my iPhone when using CTC CQC and a set of test interfaces for each orientation.

iPhone 6s (Model MKQE2LL/A)

Portrait

Size: 323,548

Landscape

Size: 569,302

The browser often scales, because if you use the actual pixel size, it would be way too small because few designer applications (being run on a desktop) have that high a resolution. So a pixel to pixel mapping would come out half of the screen or less generally. So browsers often default to a 2x scaling factor. You can set the scaling with WebRIVA via a parameter. Not sure if the CTC app allows that or not.
