Nest driver disconnecting and reconnecting

I've also added an 'extension' mechanism to the secure socket reader. So, if it hits its end time and it's in partial packet state, but it's gotten some of the current encrypted packet, it'll do a one time extension to give it more time. This should handle the possibility of timing out mid-packet. That doesn't seem possible, since a packet has to be encrypted as a whole before it can be sent. But I guess the vagaries of network timing and fragmentation could make it happen. This should insure that either that is not the problem, or if it is the problem this should take care of it. We'll see after the next drop.

OK, thanks Dean - I'll install when the new drop's available.

For now it's seems a pretty benign problem, since it reconnects promptly.

(and this just became visible when I was trying to track down my Sonos issue - which has been behaving for the past 2 days, so no more to report back on that!)

Give 5.2.7 a try and see if the above extension scheme does anything for us. It's linked in the first post of the 5.2 Followup sticky thread.

I posted this original thread and eventually just gave up and dealt with it but saw recent thread activity and downloaded the latest version and voila all my disconnects disappeared!  So I am a happy camper again  Big Grin .  Thanks Dean!
