Passing device name as variable
Oh, that's probably the backwards logic of the macro system relative to the action system. Typically macros return 0 for no error and some non-zero value for an error. But the action system takes 0 for false and non-zero for true. I just failed to take that into account when I wrote the macro. I should have returned 1 for success and 0 for failure. Sorry about that.

Just double click your If statement to turn into an If Not and then you probably will be ok.

Well, that's not it. I checked and I'm doing the right thing. You may have an older version of the macro or something where I initially got that wrong. Anyway, flip the logic and see if that makes it happier.

Is the version you have in /User/Num2Num or /User/CQC/Num2Num?

It is in User/Num2Num.

I pulled it from the link in post #9.

Even if I make it an If NOT statement, the returned values are still zero.  Perhaps, the macro I have is not the right one.
