Default CQlogicSh_3_0.dll not found

Hi I'm attemping to install version 3.24 on a new master server and I'm getting the following error message when I click on the downloaded CQCInst.exe file.

"This application has failed to start because CQlogicSh_3_0.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem."

How can I re-install something I'm trying to install.

I running on a Windows XP Sp2.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

You can't run the executable directly. You have to run the CQCSetup.cmd file. The executable is hidden for this reason, but probably you have enabled the showing of hidden files so you are seeing it.

You may need to run it as an administrator if you are on Vista. And, when you unzipped it, did you retain the directory structure of the zipped up files? I just downloaded it, unzipped it and ran it and it runs fine.

You might also try deleting the existing folder/files and downloading a new version from the CQC website. I've had a download get corrupted before and I know others have as well. Downloading a new zip file and starting over might fix it.

I downloaded the file twice from different machnes and tried to run, amd each time I get the same error. Is this missing CQlogicSh_3_0.dll a valid CQC file? I've unzipped the files into a folder called 3.024 and run the command file. I don't understand when Dean says the excecutable is hidden, in my download it isn't, below is a list of the files in the download, can someone please review and advice on what I should or shouldn't have

CQCInst.CIDRes
CQCInst.exe
CQCInst.exe.manifest
CQCInst_en.CIDMsg
CQCSetup.Cmd
Microsoft.VC80.CRT.manifest
msvcm80.dll
msvcp80.dll
msvcr80.dll
ReleaseNotes.htm
InstEnv Folder

It looks like you didn't unzip it correctly. The Image directory is not there, and that's where all of the files are. You probably didn't unzip subdirectories, so you only ended up unzipping the files in the root directory of the installer and didn't get the Image subdirectory and it's contents.
