Default Grafik Eye control

Hello
For the grafik Eye it looks to me that I only can control the zones up and down. Is this true?
The main thing I need is to set the scene's, is there someway to do this?

Thanks Rick

For each unit present, there should be a UnitX field, were X is the unit number. This is a read/write field. For reading it shows the current scene for that unit. When you write to it, you set the scene.

I think Mark has a GrafikEye, so I assume he's using the driver regularly.

No. my GrafikEye is one of two IR controlled devices in my system, so I don't use the driver. However, a quick look at the driver shows that it initializes a eight fields (Unit0 to Unit7) that acccept a cardinal from 0 to 16. The numbers correspond to setting a scene on the particular units. You'll have to try it to see if it works. If it doesn't. I am sure a minor driver tweak is all that would be required.

Oh, this has been on my todo list for many months. I too have the PRG module and have connected via RS 232. No problems getting connected to the driver but I still need to do something on the GrafikEye side so the PRG module knows the unit number.

Hi...

So are you saying that the driver does not function properly as CQC shows connected to driver in the admin interface. If it does not work, is there any way we can get together to fix the driver, not sure if anyone is willing to do it.

I think he was saying that the driver works but that he needs to configure some stuff on the Grafik Eye side.

Has nayone ever seen the PRG module on E-Bay or elsewhare at a resonable price? I could be convinced to convert my GE to serial to be able to use the driver if the module is not outrageous.

A bit of research - The PRG defaults to unit 15, the GE's should be set to something between 1-8 using this procedure:
Quote:
Assign each GRAFIK Eye Control Unit in your project a unique system address (A1 through A8).

To assign an address:

1. Enter setup mode. Press and hold Scene 1 and OFF buttons about 3 seconds, until scene LEDs cycle.

2. Select A- (the address display). Press FADE once, A- appears in the FADE window.

3. Assign a unique address. Press MASTER once, the next “free” (unassigned) address automatically appears in the FADE window. This will be the Control Unit’s address. (If you are working on the first Control Unit in the project, AI will appear.)

4. Exit setup mode. Press and hold Scene 1 and OFF buttons about 3 seconds, until the LEDs stop cycling.

5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for each GRAFIK Eye Control Unit.

There are three control devices:

GRX-CI-RS232 - RS232 interface
GRX-CI-NWK-E - Ethernet interface
GRX-CI-PRG - RD232 & Ethernet, also has internal clock/programs that let you build timed scene changes without a control interface
