Default Skin Style Interface

Just playing with a skin style UI. Still need to clean-up around the edges.

I like it... I still have problems doing the multiple shapes like you have on yours... Hopefully I will get better at it.

There are a few ways to make odd shapes. I will draw the image on paper, scan it in and then cut the shape out. I will make what I don't want transparent and then either shade the edges or in the case of the photo above, buttonize the cut-out.

I've been trying to do it in PS with the Marquee and the "Tranform Path- Distort".

BTW, don't forget that there are a set of backgrounds you can also use under the Downloads tab of the web site. You might find something you like there and save some time.

Dean.

There are lot of nice backgrounds that come with CQC, that I like. I just enjoy creating graphics, makes me forget about my real job.

Ellis.

Sorry, I know absolutely nothing about PS. I use the cheap program Paint Shop Pro. From what I see of your work, you got things figured out just fine as all of your stuff looks great.

Thanks for the complement... but believe me there are a lot of things I want to do that I am still struggling with. Sometimes the tutorials leave out a little step or it is for a dif PS version and I can't get it right.

I tend to find Fireworks easier to use for these sorts of things than PS.

Its much quicker to do multiple effects on objects and link them together.
