Jeez.. I ordered one Monday afternoon with the free "slow" shipping and it arrived this morning.

I'm always leery of Maxtor disks, but I couldn't pass up $60 for a storage upgrade in my MythTV PVR server.

$0.20/GB is the new best price I've seen for a SATA. Last one that was this good was a pricing mistake.

However, personally, I don't buy 1yr warrant HD's anymore. I've had too many go bad in the 1 - 2 year time frame.

Yeah, these disks were certainly nothing special in that department. Thankfully I don't really consider my TV recordings to be particularly mission critical, so if it craps out, it craps out...

i bought 2 (RAID1). Hopefully they don't both crap out at the same minute.
