Oh, and BTW, when you say it's still incrementing, you mean you see the field that you are writing to continuing to increment continuously? If you delete the triggered event does it stop?

when i pause the event it does stop. ill assume that if i were to delete it it would stop.

That's pretty unlikely. If there's no trigger coming in, then nothing would be getting run. Even if there were some issue like an event getting stuck on the list once invoked, I don't think it could be just starting to run one by itself without any trigger to kick it off.

Can you mark the event to have it logged whenever it's run, and bring up the log monitor window and see if it's being logged as run?

BTW, what version of CQC are you on?

so i changed the filter from IS ZONE VIOLATED to FLD VALUE EQUALS and set it to the windows zone and the value of VIOLATED

now it only runs when i violate the zone, but it will continue to run over and over(noted via the counter) until i close the window.

Well, that's pretty wierd. I'll look into that. But, just to keep me from going off into a lot of exploration for something that no longer exists, can you upgrade to the latest beta? There's a lot of water under the bridge since then. If it's still an issue, I'll dig into it.

OK. I imagine it was probably something whacked during that work I did right around then to make all the event system changes, which was probably corrected in the subsequent drop or two.
