Android RIVA Client: taRiva - kayemsi - 09-19-2012

I loaded 1.12 but cant connect. This did not upgrade my google play version, now I have both installed. If I try 1.14 will it upgrade the 1.12 or install a third copy?

My router lost all its settings so I need to fix that to check tbe new version.

Good!

Quote:On celluar data connection, entry, exit, entry resulted in spinning progress bar like before.
Not sure why the situation would be different...

Quote:Also, whether it's my imagination or not, 1.14 seems faster on loading templates than 1.13.
It's possible, though I haven't yet moved the core of the graphic operations on that other thread...

Quote: letting the phone go to sleep with taRiva running and then waking phone up results in the following: client is not operable with CQC, exiting and re-entering the client results in the behavior of the spinning progress indicator and no interaction with CQC.
That's likely the same issue as the cellular one...

EDIT: The speed difference is probably because I switched off the extra debugging stuff... Wink

Technically, the Google Play version and the one requiring registration are two different builds (from the same source code), which is why they don't overwrite each other. But version 1.14 would overwrite 1.12, as both are the side-loaded version.

Version 1.15

- Made Panel implement Runnable.

Should act as version 1.14, mostly simplified the thread handling...

Um, not finding anything in dropbox...

I did forget to update the text file with the version number before heading to bed... Hopefully I didn't shutdown the PC before dropbox was done with the sync... Wink

The apk file time stamp indicates that it is a day old so that did not upload either. Text file version now does not match code I think...

Oops, OK, I guess I was too tired last night... Wink

Version 1.16

- Made NetworkDispatcher implement Runnable.

This should improve the disconnection, though it might not make any difference in actual use... Wink

I got my router port forwarding working again and have upgraded cqc to 4.2.9 and installed (on the Galasy S3) tariva 1.12, 1.14, 1.16 and still cannot get past the flash screen and connect. I tried the 1.09 from google play and that connected and worked (this was better than with CQC 4.2.5) until it went to sleep, when it came back it is unresponsive. Restarting tariva does not help. I restarted the phone and tariva 1.09 and it is responsive again.

I did not see anything in the CQC logs trying the 1.16, but I have captured this after starting 1.09 and working with it and it going to sleep and then being unresponsive.

The last bit was after I restarted the phone and it was responding again. Note that as I am typing this the phone went to sleep and now is unresponsive again.

Do I have to register the 1.16 separately from the 1.09 to get it to connect?
