If you bring up the Registration menu, you should see it...

This is all I have.

If you activate the new one, that basically releases the old one, which is probably why the old one is appearing as unregistered...

Got it. I had to go back through my original emails to find the longer activation key. Once that longer key was entered, I saw the release and activate buttons and was able to get the device registered.

Thanks for the assistance.

Fonceur, did you ever get a chance to review the logs from CQC / logcat regarding the reconnect issue?

Thanks,
-Ben

No, sorry. I moved 2 weeks ago, so that kinda cut on my free time. Wink

Has anyone using TaRiva had any issues bringing up web image widget photos? I have one photo generated by my IP camera server, and several others generated from the Houston Transtar that come up at times, but other times, they don't. It seems to be a timing issue from what I can tell.

If I am on wifi, I don't have issues with pulling up the web image widgets, but using a Verizon 4G LTE network connection, it seems if the photo doesn't load in a certain amount of time, it will just not load. No errors, just a blank screen. It works at times, other times it doesn't.

I discussed it a bit in the general CQC support forum and had some responses back from Dean here:

I would think it would be noticed by others since it happens not only on my local IP address cameras but also on a public IP address cam site.

Here are a couple of cams that sometimes I have issues with coming up on my tariva client. My local one, I always have an issue with - unless on Wifi, but it is not available outside of my home.

Actually, I just looked and the web image widget does use a 10 second timeout. So I guess that could be the issue, that if it's taking longer than that to load, then the web image widget will give up. Do these seem to be taking that sort of time to load?

It is under 2 seconds before it stops loading, so don't think it is that.

As an aside, if you haven't tried "IP Cam Viewer" for looking at security / traffic cameras on your Android device suggest you take a look. Excellent program! The pro version is only 3.99$ There is also an iOS version, named the same thing, in the App Store.

This doesn't address the issue you are experiencing but it will give you an application developed specifically for the purpose of viewing streaming cameras effectively as well as giving you a tool to validate your communications loop both on WiFi and Cellular. I have both Sprint and Verizon and my broadband is 4Mbs outbound. My cameras definitely come up a bit slower on the cellular side; no surprise there.
