Are you running TaRIVA 0.96?

OK, so look for some kind of free log collector for Android, then after a crash zip it and attach it to a reply.

I have the S7 as well and yes it is a problem

The os appears to support multitasking so when you close it ( home button) or the return button and select close it is still running in the background and won't connect again. Pressing the task list button in the top right will drop down a list of running apps and from there you can kill tariva and it should launch again fine.

As for going to sleep, just get into the habit of closing the app when you are finished until a workaround is found

When my tablet goes to sleep it will not reconnect at all, from what I understand should reconnect at the base template. For me it will not reconnect until I reload the template by pressing (hard button) home -> Config and then hit apply. It will reload the template which leads me to issue #2

When I reload the template and preform a single action, pressing a button or anything at all Tariva crashes and I need to reload it. When I reload it, it will work flawlessly until my tablet goes to sleep again then its the same pattern as above.

I am hoping I can figure out why it does this and fix it.

Thanks

Ted

Pressing the Home button on an Android device is definitely not a "close" and never has been, since indeed Android is a multitasking platform... Now once a task is in the background, if you have too many other tasks running, it's possible that the OS will kill it or some of its threads...

It doesnt seem to get killed by the OS it just seems to not reconnect and crashes when the reload happens. If someone can tell me the logging software i need I will install it tonight and upload the log. I would like to understand why it is doing this before I drop the cash on 4 or 5 more of these.

Just pick any Android log collector app, I don't think it would make much difference... Here's one:
