Samsung SmartTV driver? - sic0048 - 12-14-2017

Obviously there is nothing official, but I was wondering if anyone has created their own driver to control a Samsung SmartTV via http?  I've searched the forums and although there are some posts hinting at a driver, I haven't been able to find one.

I realize the network port on the TVs is dead until the TV is turned on so any driver would not be able to turn the TV on, but I think there is still a lot of benefit to being able to control the TV after it is turned on via another method.

I just thought I would throw it out there and hope someone has something!

Thanks!

Is the protocol documented?

I have a Samsung Smart TV and use Anymote via my iPhone to control the set.  I can power on/off via the app so, I would think a driver could do the same.

The information on the protocol would have to be available though.
