this just started happening with one of the newer beta's...
kind of odd really... if the driver was loosing com with the lex, wouldn't everything go away? not just the volume?
not really sure it is a beta issue, or even a CQC issue, maybe my lex is dieing? but just it's volume communications? just really seems odd... sometimes it will come back if I exit that IV screen and then go back into it...

if it's showing up then reappearing on about a 15 seconds period, then that's something that's been mentioned before. I'm not sure if it's been fixed in the most recent beta or not (.30), but I wasn't abel to reproduce it and so much has changed that it was just best to wait and see if it's still there in .30 before spending more time on it.

when i had a similar problem, it helped to completely shut down the cqc service and restart cqc. my recollection is that a driver was not loading correctly and a restart fixed the problem.

I think I will just try updating to the latest beta... seems like the simplest solution...

so far the .30c beta seems to have fixed it...

I may have been a bit optimistic...
I am not so sure now, most of the time the slider is there, but today it wasn't... but then it popped back into existence... maybe its just temporally slipping into a worm hole in time & space?

Are you stopping and starting the service while the viewer is running? There have been issues reported wrt to that, and it might be the same thing.

not that I am aware of... sometimes the server likes to reboot on its own, but it hasn't lately... HDHR driver I think... only happens when it is cold/snowing out... my server isn't outside and the HDHR isn't either, so I am not sure why it doesn't like snow... not sure I disagree with it either...

Try starting up the viewer from the CQC Command Line, like this:
CQCIntfView /VerboseLog
Flush the logs, and let it go until you see this problem, then get a log dump for me.

it seems I am losing com with the server (192.168.1.80)?

actually, if I am reading that right, it looks like a flaky connection... odd, my Q1 is on a wired network...
anyway, attached the log, you can ignore the
A message validation on reply CurrentStateChan_L of protocol '' failed that's just CQC's way of telling me I should redo my weedtech driver in CML...

Yeh, I can see that just after that, the widgets cycle back to waiting for a good value, so that means that they couldn't be polled, just a couple seconds after that log server connection loss. So something is definitely going on there. They shortly thereafter come back to ready state again.
But I need to add one more verbose mode log message to give me more perspective on what's going on also.

well, the volume slider just disappeared while I was attempting to change the volume...
but I don't think anything was logged...
the event happened approximately around 20:20 CQC time... the last log was at 20:17 CQC time...:-?

If there's nothing else in the log, it would seem that it's not able to log which means unable to connect to the server, and that that would be related to the loss of the volume field. In the logging that is there, it looks correct, it's correctly going through the required stages to get up and going and stays that way.
Is anyone else seeing this problem?

I'm getting another drop ready. I did make some minor changes wrt to the polling engine, which could in theory have been related to this. So see if it's still there after the next drop. If so, we'll dig deeper.

just a bit of FWIW: whiloe I didn't catch any logs... it seems that if the Samsung Q1 (IV) goes to sleep (hibernate) and then wakes back up again, that's when I sometimes lose my volume slider...

Hmmm... That's wierd. Nothing else gets broken but the sliders?

as far as I can tell, just the one lex slider (technically its my only slider...)
and it happens like only 1 time out of 10 or so... just enough to be annoying...

FWIW, this still happens on the latest beta... just enough to be annoying...
